Garam Masala Chicken

Ingredients:


Chicken - 1.5 kg (cut into medium parts)

1 large onion, sliced

Pound 1" ginger with 6-7 pips garlic

1 tbsp chilli powder

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1/2 tsp black pepper powder

1 1/2 tsp garam masala powder

2 stalks curry leaves

2tbsp chopped fresh coriander leaves

1 1/2 tsp salt, according to taste

1 tsp sugar

cinnamon 1", 3 cardamons, 2 star anise, 4 cloves


Method:


  1. Crackle cinnamon, cardamons, star anise, cloves in hot oil.

  2. Add slices onions and pounded ginger-garlic.

  3. Add chilli powder, turmeric powder and garam masala.

  4. Put in chicken pieces with salt and sugar to taste.

  5. Cook till meat is tender.

  6. Add curry leaves and coriander leaves

  7. Stir, turn off the heat and leave covered for 1/2 hr before dishing out.
