Chili Franks


Ingredients:


1 packet chicken frankfurters

1 large onion

4 pips garlic-minced

1 inch ginger-minced

2 tsp chilli powder (or to taste)

2 tsp full fennel powder

1tsp garam masala

1 tbsp oil

1 tbsp tomato sauce

1 tbsp fried curry leaves

Method:


  1. Cut franks into slices or rings.

  2. Slice onion thinly.

  3. Fry onions in oil till golden brown, add garlic and ginger. Cook for a further minute.

  4. Add chilli powder, fennel powder and garam masala and stir, then add 2 tbsp water followed by franks. Stir and cook for a few minutes.

  5. Then stir in tomato sauce.

  6. Heat through, sprinkle curry leaves and mix in.

  7. Serve with rice.


P.S: Shredded roast chicken (bought from supermarket) can replace the franks.
